
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, my 20 years of extensive experience in Mental Health and Addiction has allowed me to build a practice centered on supporting, empowering, and guiding, individuals, couples, and families on issues related to life struggles, mental health diagnoses, and education, prevention and treatment of substance use disorders.
EXPERIENCE
Lisa Sloves received her Bachelor's of Social Work degree in 2000 and earned a Master's of Social Work degree in 2001, from Adelphi University, School of Social Work. Further, Lisa Sloves is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) certified and licensed by the State of New York.
Lisa Sloves has a significant amount of experience in the areas of mental health and addiction treatment services. Lisa has dedicated much of her career to working with adolescents, young adults, couples, and families as they navigate through mental health and addiction treatment.
Lisa Sloves’ career began at SCO Family of Services, a residential program, where she spent six years as a full-time social worker. During her time at SCO, Lisa gained great knowledge and insight, navigating through the foster care system, family court practices, and mental health treatment services. Lisa played a vital role as a member of an interdisciplinary treatment team and was responsible for supervising social work interns. In addition, Lisa provided case management and clinical services to residents and their families.
Lisa Sloves joined Tempo Group Inc. in 2008 as a part-time clinician. Tempo Group is a medically supervised, chemical dependency, outpatient treatment program. Her responsibilities included facilitating parent support and education groups, adolescent drug recovery groups, spousal support groups, and individual clinical treatment. In 2016, Lisa was promoted to Director of Admissions at Tempo Group and became an intricate part of Tempo Group’s administration team. Lisa was responsible for screening and scheduling intake assessments and assignments. She provided supervision to master’s level social work interns and Tempo Group’s case manager. In addition, Lisa Sloves was the first supervisor at Tempo Group to oversee and supervise the Certified Recovery Peer Assistant program.
